    Virtual Earth Map Control v6 Released

    Developers building on the Virtual Earth platform now have the V6 javascript MapControl in their toolbox. Rooftop geocoding, Safari v2 support, and multipoint routing are among the enhancements in this release.

    Virtual Earth will always freeze after restarting the Virtual Earth program. Only way to fix this is to remove and re-install. Major bug Microsoft!!  For shame.

    I've been having trouble with the new version.  Option/Saved Locations/Save my previous locations does not work.  No previous locations are saved when the tab/browser is closed and http://map.live.com is re-opened.  The map returns to the U.S. overview each time.  This occurs in IE7 in both Vista and XP.  Further, support for Live Search Maps is not available at http://help.live.com/help.aspx?project=a&market=en-us  When you choose Help for Windows Live products and services then click on Live Search Maps, the link does not work.  Any assistance would be appreciated.

    I am running into a strange bug - I actually see it on all my computers including a company notebook. I also saw other people on the web complain about this issue, but have not found a solution.
     
    Here are a couple screen shots. Note that when I switch between Aerial and Hybrid different tiles are missing. Looks like they are all there (downloaded), but some are missing in each view.
